Riverview Gardens School District recently brought together educators, administrators and community members to help increase positive behavior.
The stakeholder group held three sessions, including interactive discussions and solution-focused planning. The group aims to identify and implement effective and proactive behavior supports for students across all RGSD schools.
The group will also work to ensure the district’s behavior guide and board policies are in alignment.
"The initiative is part of a larger effort to foster positive school climates and ensure consistency in behavior expectations across all RGSD schools," stated District MTSS Coordinator Karmen Mays.
RGSD faculty and staff will receive training to enhance behavior management and early intervention skills.
The efforts are led by the RGSD MTSS Leadership Team.
