RGSD seeks committed stakeholders to serve on its Boundary Redrawing Committee.
On June 24, 2025, the Board of Education approved the closure of Danforth Elementary School at the conclusion of the 2025-2026 school year. As the District moves forward, a committee of stakeholders will be formed, which includes board members, students, principals, parents, district administrators, community members, political officials, and district partners. The primary scope of this committee is to recommend the realignment of District boundaries and to recommend a grade level configuration that best serves the needs of our students, and to strengthen the academic outcomes for RGSD.
It is important that the community of RGSD have input as we begin the process of redrawing District boundaries. This committee will be responsible for hosting public meetings in September and October of 2025. The committee will gather information to make an informed recommendation to BOE of the Riverview Gardens School District.
