Annual Performance Report

The Riverview Gardens School District (RGSD) is celebrating remarkable progress in its Annual Performance Report (APR), reflecting three years of steady and substantial improvement. RGSD has increased its APR score by 22 points since 2021โ€“22โ€”an achievement credited to the dedication, focus and hard work of staff across the district.

This year, RGSD fell just one point short of full accreditation. While the district narrowly missed that benchmark, the milestone represents a powerful step forward. RGSD is no longer at the bottom of state rankings and continues to move in a positive direction.

RGSD ranked 5th in overall APR growth among St. Louis-area school districts for 2024โ€“25, and 10th out of 29 districts for cumulative growth between 2021โ€“22 and 2024โ€“25. These gains are clear evidence that RGSDโ€™s progress is both real and sustained. Our momentum shows what is possible when we work together.

The 2025โ€“26 school year will be critical, as the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) will average scores from the 2023โ€“24, 2024โ€“25, and 2025โ€“26 school years to determine accreditation status for 2026โ€“27. To earn full accreditation, RGSD must earn at least 153 APR points next year. However, the goal is to earn 155 points!

District officials emphasized the continued importance of providing nurturing learning environments and delivering high-quality, well-prepared instruction.

โ€œYour commitment to our students and community truly makes a difference,โ€ Superintendent Tanya Patton, Ed.D., stated. โ€œTogether, we canโ€”and willโ€”move this district forward.โ€
