Champion is now spelled “K-A-I-D-E-N” after Kaiden S., a fourth-grade scholar from Lemasters Elementary School, emerged victorious in his second consecutive RGSD Elementary Spelling Bee. The event was hosted at Lemasters due to his victory last year.
Kaiden defended his spelling crown by correctly spelling “laurel.” He emerged victorious after 28 rounds of fierce competition against the district’s top elementary spellers.

The second-place winner was Syn’cere S. from Moline Elementary. The third-place winner was Deante T. from Glasgow Elementary.
Kaiden will now advance to compete in the Scripps Regional Spelling Bee and represent Riverview Gardens School District once again against other St. Louis area school spelling bee winners.
All spelling bee competitors received prizes, gift cards and certificates.
