Southwest Food Excellence (SFE) is impressing Riverview Gardens High School scholars with the addition of two new panini press machines to support the school’s breakfast program.
The new equipment allows cafeteria staff to prepare hot, crispy sandwiches quickly - an important benefit during the busy morning rush. With more students relying on school breakfast to start their day, the panini presses help ensure meals are served promptly without sacrificing quality.
In addition to improving service speed, the presses expand the variety of breakfast options available to students. The ability to offer warm, freshly prepared sandwiches adds flexibility to the menu and creates new opportunities to introduce meals that appeal to a wide range of tastes.
The panini presses will be a fantastic addition to our cafeteria,” stated Carolyn Penn, SFE’s general manager for RGSD.
School officials are optimistic about the impact of the panini machines on the breakfast program. The addition is expected to be well-received by both students and staff.
RGSD and SFE continue to explore ways to improve school meal programs by investing in equipment and resources that support efficiency, quality and student satisfaction.
