The Sweet Spell of Victory for Moline's Hasani Holt

Riverview Gardens School District scholars participated in the 2023 Districtwide Elementary Spelling Bee on Friday, January 20 at Gibson Elementary School.

The Spelling Bee featured spellers from all nine elementary schools in the District. The Districtwide Elementary Spelling Bee is a valuable educational activity for all scholars. It helps scholars improve their spelling, vocabulary and overall language skills.

After an intense battle, Hasani Holt from Moline Elementary emerged victorious. Zay’Den Ellis of Danforth Elementary earned a second-place finish. Terrell Beaver from Glasgow Elementary rounded out the Top 3. As the victor, Holt will represent RGSD in the St. Louis Regional Spelling Bee at Saint Louis University.
