RGSD Adopts NextRequest for Public Records

Riverview Gardens School District is an open access public school district. Since approval in February 2023, the Custodian of Records has developed a processes through NextRequest to respond to incoming Missouri Sunshine Law and/or FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requests. NextRequest is an online public records management software solution.

How NextRequest improves record request processes in the following primary ways:

• Receive records requests in a modern online portal & connect requesters with self-serve information in the public reading room.
• Track & Process records requests by routing to staff automatically. Easily monitor each request with audit trails and dashboards 
• Electronically release records of any type or size - release to the individual or public at large
• Redaction tools available for the entire agency, including batch redaction with RapidReview.

Over the last few years requests for public open records have increased in number and complexity.  The Office of Student Support Services has partnered with the Custodian of Records to manage the process of incoming requests for records.  Therefore, this platform is providing an all in one solution. All Missouri Sunshine Law or FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requests can be made by accessing the district portal at https://riverviewgardensschooldistrictmo.nextrequest.com/
